About Cheryl Lew
Owner Cheryl Lew's pastry-making skills and talents are the key ingredients in the exceptional pastries and desserts that customers find at Montclair Baking... where every piece is handcrafted from scratch, with extreme care and attention to detail. Cheryl's designs have been featured in Elegant Bride, Pastry Art and Design, American Cake Decorating, wedding planning books, and both local and national media. And, the cakes get rave reviews. She has won numerous local and national awards for her wedding cakes. Among them are medals for both taste and appearance at the National Domaine Carneros Ultimate Wedding Cake competition (twice) and being recognized as one of the Bay Area's noted Wedding Cake Designers by the San Francisco Chronicle. She recently earned the exclusive Certified Master Baker distinction, awarded by the national Retail Baker's Association. Cheryl oversees all baking and production, from selecting the finest quality ingredients to oven to delivery; her support team is immensely loyal and has been with her for years. She is continuously expanding the selection at Montclair Baking. Her most recent additions are jams and preserves made with local in-season produce. In her spare time (joke!) she teaches at cooking schools from San Mateo to Sonoma. |
